We were present at the IUCN Congress in September 2021 on the stand of the Compagnie Nationale du Rhône, our project partner.
On the spot, the president of Plastic@Sea, Anne-Leïla Meistertzheim explained the Plastic Rhône project, its objectives and its impact. The aim is "... to use this river as a life-size laboratory to follow the fragmentation process of plastics
and thus validate its hypothesis in the Rhône. The IUCN French Committee is the network of organisations and experts of the International Union for Conservation of Nature in France, focusing on biodiversity issues, which also involves local authorities and companies.
